ADULT BAPTISM
Interested in being baptized at Living Word Church?
We invite you to participate in believer’s baptism, an opportunity to publicly identify yourself with Jesus in his death and resurrection. This is a sacred and beautiful opportunity to declare, “I believe the best possible way to live is the way of Jesus, and I am committed to following Christ—daily dying to myself and allowing the resurrected Christ to live in and through me.”
Baptism is not a means of salvation; rather it is a beautiful picture of our union with Christ and our declaring that we join and follow him as a Newly Created being.
Baptism services for adults and kids will occur at 4:pm during our annual church picnic. Please check back for the dates and the times of the next baptism. Have questions about infant baptism? Contact us at info@livingwordec.org.

BIRTH + CHILD DEDICATION
Child Dedication at Living Woprd is a practice in which parents make a solemn commitment to raising their child in the faith: in knowing Jesus as the only hope for bringing reconciliation between God and humanity. This service typically includes a Scripture reading, prayer, a "Family Covenant" reading, and a series of vows spoken by parents. If desired, parents and families may personalize these services; for example, including blessings or prayers from grandparents or incorporating meaningful songs and/or other creative elements.
Online registration is now available for Child Dedication events.

ABOUT CHILD BAPTISM
When a child makes the choice to follow Jesus, they have the opportunity to declare their commitment to Jesus through baptism. Children being baptized at Living Word must understand what baptism means and must be able to declare their intention to follow the way of Jesus. For this reason, each year in the Spring, children who wish to be baptized are invited to attend a Kids Baptism Class, where kids learn the significance and meaning of baptism and are prepared for the experience of baptism at Living Word.
